Ousmane Soro

Ousmane Soro is a political columnist and international affairs analyst. Holder of an advanced master's degree in international relations and cooperation, then graduated from the prestigious School of Political Sciences of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in institutional and political communication, he joined Axinfos as an editorialist. He worked as head of institutional relations at the Academy of Overseas Sciences, a historic institution in the French and African intellectual and diplomatic landscape, then as head of editorial and communications at the Revue Politique et Parlementaire, one of the oldest French political journals, founded more than 130 years ago. These experiences, at the heart of the political, diplomatic and academic spheres, have strengthened his expertise in strategic analysis, political writing, lobbying and influential communication. He then held the position of head of press relations and communications for the International Committee to Support the Writer Boualem Sansal, a collective bringing together more than 2,000 members — parliamentarians, diplomats and political figures from more than twenty nationalities — whose action contributed to the release of the writer a year after his detention. Every Friday, on Axinfos, he offers a breakdown of international news, through his editorials, combining geopolitical reading, analysis of power and a critical look at global dynamics.
